Welcome to Love Cap Central, a “blog” (weblog) for participants in MIFA’s Love Cap Knitting and Crocheting program. Love Cap participants make warm caps and lap robes for clients of the MIFA, the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association and other area agencies in Memphis, TN.
About MIFA, the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association
Since 1968, MIFA has come to the aid of real people with real-life issues. Many find help at MIFA. Many others give it. And help is the operative word. MIFA is not about doling out food, resources and pity in a social services assembly line. Our mission is about helping change lives. We see our role as a partner in the lives of people who yearn for a fresh start, a second chance or a new beginning. Everyone in our community has a particular stake in the MIFA mission. Anyone can make a difference by volunteering time, making financial or in-kind donations or by spreading the word about our mission. We invite you to investigate MIFA more thoroughly, to find your MIFA niche, to try to do your part in helping us help change lives. From all of us at MIFA, thank you for supporting our past, our present and our future.
About the Love Cap Knitting and Crocheting Program
Now in its 18th year, the Love Cap Program has provided over 59,000 hand made items for our neighbors who need extra help to stay warm in the winter. Our volunteers work in groups (congregations, retirement communities, schools and community organizations) or on their own to help improve the quality of life in the Memphis metropolitan area.
About Love Cap Central Blog

Is there a mailing list? This is the second year I have missed this because of lack of information/coverage by the media.
My mother and I would have loved to participate but due to my father’s Alzheimer’s. We need more that 1 days notice of this wonderful event.
